LINKE (from Bohemia)

I have been researching this surname since 1978. I have found many pieces of information but missing a key element. I am trying to find the city of birth (or city of emigration) for Daniel LINKE. He arrived in the USA around April1882 via S.S. Devonia, traveling alone from what I can determine. He was 19 years old (born in 1863 +/- 2 years.) Unsure of his religious background, I have found no record(s) where he stated a city of birth or last residence prior to leaving Bohemia (the Austrian Empire). Deeds, marriage license, death certificate, city directories, birth certificates for children, etc all checked with no stated city of birth. Until I have a city of birth, I am not able to research districts and/or regions in the Czech archives. I know he worked with glass and have sent letters to living residents in areas historically known for their glass working artisans in the Czech Republic; no responses as of yet. Any suggestions on future research would be greatly appreciated.

Kopp

Looking for information on Kopp family, current or anc. Erwin Augustin Kopp born July 25, 1919 in Sternberk. Birthplace may or may not be correct - I don't have a certificate. His brother Ernst & sister Margarete were part of the Sudeten rescue in 1939, settled in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan. Father remained in Czechoslovakia, remarried and passed around 1978. He may have had more children. Erwin & his wife Helge (Mildner - also part of Sudeten rescue) were killed by a drunk driver in Sept 1982. Any guidance or help would be appreciated.

Kucipak

My grandfather immigrated to the U.S. about 1905. His name was Alec Kucipak. His bother Jurko came in the teens, left, and came back in 1930. His village was listed as Ticha, Czechoslovakia. He left again about 1936 and was not heard from until the 1970's. Letters came for a short while, written by Jurko's granddaughter, I think. Now, all contact has been lost. My grandfather's records list him as Ruthenian.
