In a short time, my membership in CGSI has paid off big time. I intend to be a long time member because of all the help I have received. I recommended CGSI to a friend, and she obtained some badly needed information also that was very interesting because of a response to her posting. Good for her! Thanks everyone!
The oldest images I have for an ancestor are images of Francis TINTERA Sr and his wife Anna (nee DUPAC, used DUPATSCH maiden name in America). If you think you are connected with these persons I would be happy to send you a copy of their restored images via an e-mail attachment. Another genealogist had been good enough to share these with me and I would do the same. Or you can view the images of this couple on your own on ancestry.com with my ancestry ID of Ron_Blaha and tree name Blaha. Czech surnames in my tree are BAMBAS, BLAHA, DUPAC (later DUPATSCH), HRDLICKA, JENICEK, KOSTINEC, KREN, KRS, MASTOVSKA, PALECEK, RYSKA (later RISKA), SILHAVY, SVEJDA, TINTERA, TOGNER, TRINGL (alternate TREBAL?), TURNER, ZLAMSIDLO (later SLAMSCHIDLO) and ZVERIN.
Francis TINTERA Jr married an Anna TRINGL in St Louis MO on 24 Oct 1865. I have a copy of their marriage record (St John Nepomuk Catholic Church) but unfortunately an ancestral town name is not mentioned for Francis Jr. No ship arrival record found so far and naturalization record did not help. I suspect Francis Tintera Sr and his wife and four oldest children came to America as a group between 15 Aug 1852 and 2 Mar 1854. They were very early members of St John Nepomuk Catholic Church in St Louis MO when it opened in 1854.
Joseph TRINGL, the father for Anna TRINGL, came to America in 1855 with his family (wife and three oldest children) I believe. The 1900 census for his oldest son Martin shows that date. Have not found that ship arrival record yet. Naturalization records for sons Martin and Joseph do not mention an ancestral town.
Both Francis TINTERA Sr and his son FRancis TINTERA JR were tailors in St Louis MO for many years.
Breaking news (8/7/2020); Francis Tintera Jr birth record and his parents marriage record have been found in Drahenice central Bohemia.
