Brilla - Tharta

My maternal grandparents Michael Brilla and Pauline Tharta emigrated to the U.S. about 1900 from Tovsa (?), Austria-Hungary and settled in southeastern Pennsylvania (last home address was Fayette City, PA). Would like to know if their roots are Slovak, Czech, other? Also, location of Tovsa (if that is correct spelling).
