Kocvelda / Kovelda, Josef b 1880

Description

I’m looking for information on my great-great grandfather, Josef Kocvelda (spelling changed to Kovelda in the late 1880s). He immigrated from “Bohemia” in 1891 with his parents (names unknown), settled in Oklahoma, and married Katerina (maiden name unknown, but also immigrated from “Bohemia”. Katerina immigrated in 1904. All settled in Oklahoma.

If you check the Baca Passenger index under Koewelda, you will find a Marie traveling with three children in 1892.

3.Alois

They were arriving from Moravia. Looks like they were heading first to Pennsylvania…not Oklahoma.
