Sk. info re Benjamin Kus,b. c1800, Bohemia, m Frances?, owned land Long Island, village of Tabor,Suffolk Cty.,New York. USA, c1870. Said land transf. to sons, Albert & Matthias, deed exec’d 1873. Benj. appears in 1870 US Census, living in Boston, MA. w/son Albert. Can find no record of arr. in US, or death record in Boston area. Children John, Albert, Matthias, & Anna arrived N.Y. June 1862, lived in Boston MA area. John (b1839,d1896)m Scheda, Anna b.1841, m. Prarost, Matthias,b.1842,m.Zeman, Albert, b.1844,m. Stocker, went to Johnson City, Iowa, bef.1885. App. in Iowa State Census 1885, US Census Iowa City 1900 Questions—The ship’s manifest indicates that the family was headed for St. John, Did they reenter the US at some point? Who was the 2nd Albert,age 50, on the ship’s list? Could Benjamin have ret. to Bohemia “to die?” as family legend suggests? Any suggestions, anyone?
