Description

My great grandmother's maiden name was Stefko.  When married she stated she was from Krasny,  Slovakia, one brother states he is from Abauska, Slovakia and another states he is from Tlarrsne, Slovakia.  Since they could not read or write English these names were stated to the person writing.  Can anyone tell me what these three names may refer too?

Hi Gail,

The place could be Krasna (Krasna nad Hornadom), now part of Kosice IV. There are more than one place in Slovakia, containing Krasna, Krasno or Krasny in their names, but this place in Eastern Slovakia has also similar Latin name (abbas..) or Hungarian name Abaszeplak.
