Military Records WW1 Martinek

Description

Hi!

I am trying to find military records for Adalbert Martinek (dob 1892), he served in WW1 and was injured with a bullet to the eye.  Problem is I am not sure which country he would have served under.  He was born in Radonice, Czech Republic, but was living in Wroclow by the time my mother was born.  It could have been the Austrian-Hungarian army or German.  Where can I begin the search?

Hi, Ula,

I have very little knowledge about searching military records, but I know that we have a couple presentations in the CGSI.org Digital Library that will perhaps get your started.  I'll suggest you start with the first link below as it is the most recent information, and at the end, if I remember correctly, Carl gives you his email address and will provide you with assistance in understanding how to get started.  Good luck!!!!
