Description

Does anyone have any experience or tips using the regional national archives in Slovakia? I am planning a trip in late October and hope to use the Zilina regional archive in Bytca to research my grandparents. Thanks much!

Hello Mark,

It would be the best if you contact them ahead of time, before your visit. Here is their general email address archiv.za@minv.sk. Use both versions, English and Slovak, in writing your short email about your upcoming visit. Check also this page and click with right clicking on your mouse to translate text to English. https://www.minv.sk/?oznamy-a-aktuality-35. I visited this archive before - I am from Povazska Bystrica which is close. Iveta B.
