Who was your immigrant ancestor, identifying what you know about them is critical.  Using the paper trail from US records, we will mine for a village name in the homeland.  Once we locate a village name, we can interpret the results: address misspellings, shifting regions and other roadblocks.  Gazetteers are the Golden Key to unlocking the right location, we'll review several you can use.  Finally we'll identify the Parish and corresponding Regional Archive.  Finally we'll map your village using Mapy.com.
