Zamagurie Region Dual Geographic DNA Project

I invite those with ancestry from the Southern Poland/Eastern Slovakia border villages also known as the Zamagurie Region to participate in our DNA project. This non-profit project has goals of creating a DNA database (both male and female) for descendants of this region corresponding to a 15,600+ database of researched pedigrees from the region. In addition, the group administrator will assist in locating the ancestral village, review a 4 generation pedigree chart and facilitate sampling overseas when possible. With each new generation, the role of a genealogist becomes more difficult. This is even more difficult for the genetic genealogist as the potential DNA candidates become harder to trace and direct DNA lines can potentially truncated.
