It seems that I have joined the incorrect website to research my SLovakia family. This is mainly for the Czech families. Can see spending a whole year in CGSI, because of that reason. Vera

If there is one rule when it comes to genealogy research, it takes a LONG time to come by details and information. Patience goes a long way.

Hello Mark:

It looks like you have posted your surname research query to the online CGSI message board on 2/5/2010, perhaps with the expectation that you were requesting CGSI to provide this research service to you on a complimentary basis, is that correct?

Please note that CGSI is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization and that our message board is a forum for you as a member to network with other CGSI members regarding your topics of interest. The message board, however, is not the means for submitting a research consulting request to CGSI as a work for hire.

Also note that I serve on the CGSI executive committee as Corresponding Secretary and as CGSI Genealogy Research Coordinator and any emails that you send to research@cgsi.org will immediately forward to me.
