I have received a copy of research on the Luniak family including my 2nd great grandfather, Anton Luniak. The work seems to be LDA ordinance work for the complete Luniak line going back almost to the 17th century. The family originated in Silesia which is now Walim, Warszawskiego, Poland and then moved across the border into Brezova,Broumov,Bohemia. The person who did the research did not list her source/s. Every male who preceded my gg-grandfather, Anton, including his father Franz Luniak, was baptized into the LDS church. This worries me – could the person who did the research not have been sure that Anton fit into this line and therefore did not have him baptized? Thus I question his authenticity in this family line. Can anyone give me any information? I’d be very grateful for your help.
My great grandmother was Elizabeth Luniak, born Brezova,Broumov,Bohemia, in 24 April 1845 and married Joseph Probst from Regen, Bavaria.
