1869 Hungary Census

Description

I want to know if there are any records that indicate when during 1869 villages in the Bardejov area may have been canvassed for the census. The date on the census is December 1869, but I assume the canvassing was done earlier in the year. I have an ancestor with a birth/baptism record dated in August 1869 who does not appear in the 1869 census in Becherov. Does anyone have any information about this?

Hello David,

The Census should reflect the status to 31 December 1869. The actual recording  happened in many cases in the first days of January 1870 or in the middle of Jan. 1870, but had to reflect a situation to the last hour of Dec. 31, 1869. Iveta B.
