Jan Vavra, Jan Wavra, Jan Wawra,
Jan “John’ Vavra Sr. emigrated to America with his wife, Terezie Bren, daughter Josefine Vavra and son, John “Rusty” Vavra Jr. in 1863 His name in his native country had been Jan Wavra but it later became “Americanized” to reflect our pronunciation.

Do you happen to know which village Jan Wavra was from?  Might it have been in one of the villages around Polička in Bohemia?  Perhaps from Oldřiš or Borová?
