24th Annual Masopust 2024 (Czech Mardi Gras) (festival)

Where:  Montgomery, Minnesota  (209 / 213 First Street South)

24th annual Masopust in Montgomery.  Join in the fun at the Rustic Farmer/Revival on Main in the heart of historic downtown Montgomery, as we say goodbye to meat for the Lenten season in the Czech tradition.  Featuring the St. Paul Czech and Slovak Adult Dancers, plenty of old time music for your dancing pleasure by George's Concertina Band, and Czech foods to choose from.

Hosted by the Montgomery Masopust Committee with many local sponsors.

Costumes are encouraged, but not required; one adult and one child prize awarded for best costume.  Crowning of the 2024 Masopust King, Silent auction with Czech and non-Czech merchandise for your bidding pleasure from 12:30 - 3:30.  Special Guest Marit Lee Kucera, Honorary Consul for the Czech Republic in MN, IA, ND, SD.

Admission:  Adults $5; children under age 15 - Free.
