The Carpatho-Rusyn Research Center is pleased to invite you to the 2022 Summer Seminars, presented by the John and Helen Timo Foundation. This year’s exciting series features interactive presentations sharing new work in Carpatho-Rusyn Studies.

The Summer Seminars will take place the week of August 29, 2022 from Monday to Friday. These are all live events that will include the opportunity to ask questions to the presenters. All of the presentations will also be recorded and shared later on YouTube.

The seminars are free to attend, and this year, no registration is required. Please share this information with anyone you think may be interested: this is a great opportunity to engage with your friends and family and share Carpatho-Rusyn history and culture!

The Art of the Coal Region Renaissance: The Painter Anthony Kubek -  A Presentation by Dr. Nicholas Kupensky, Associate Professor at the United States Air Force Academy -  Wednesday, August 31 at 5 PM ET

Lemko Art as an Artifact of Memory -  A Presentation by Michał Szymko, Doctoral Candidate at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University -  Thursday, September 1 at 1 PM ET

The Lemko Language as a Cure -  A Presentation by Anna Maślana, Doctoral Candidate at Jagiellonian University -  Friday, September 2 at 1 PM ET
