About our special guest
Maria Silvestri is a multicultural communicator, translator, and descendant of Slovak Rusyns who grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Active in the Rusyn community both in the United States and in Slovakia, Maria is passionate about raising awareness of the past, present, and future of this unique culture and community.
Maria also serves as the President of the John and Helen Tino Foundation where she oversees funding, educational programs, and projects.
