Celebrating Czech Heritage in the Capital City of Nebraska
The Nebraska Czechs of Lincoln welcome the public to attend our Annual Czech Festival on Sunday May 1st at the Pla-Mor Ballroom, 6600 West “O” Street in Lincoln from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Free Admission – We invite the public to come and experience our Czech culture.
Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. to numerous vendors who will have ethnic foods including kolaches, baked goods, Czech crystal and glassware, and garnet jewelry from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Czech music CDs, and so much more. Exhibitors will display arts and crafts from Czech heritage.
The program includes: Accordion Jams (bring your accordions in keys FBEA and join in the fun), Coronation of Lincoln Czech-Slovak Queen & royalty. We will also introduce the 2021-22 Miss Nebraska Czech-Slovak Queen, NE chapter Queens, and other visiting Czech Royalty. Young talent performances, accordion lessons, kids’ activities, kolache making demonstrations and Czech articles on display. We will also have a Silent Auction. Good Czech Beer available at bar.
