Czechs in Battonya and Nemet Pereg (former Hungary)
I am trying to confirm a family branch I created. The family, Pražák, originated in Central Bohemia from Cerhenice, Tatce, and Bumbalka, and around 1867 moved to Battonya, Hungary, and later Nemet Pereg (now in Romania). They moved with what appears to be a good number of families from Bumbalka and villages surrounding. I assume there was some incentive offered by the government to go populate these lands, but I'd like to know more and also to find other families with the same situation in their tree.
