Franz B. Krenek and Miroslav Krenek in Chicago

Description

I am looking for a connection to my 2nd great-grandfather, Franz “Frank” B. Krenek, particularly to any siblings and his son and to find out where in Bohemia he came from.

Frank was born Nov 1862 in Bohemia. He immigrated to the US around 1874, possible with a sister named Maria (ships records have the name as Krueck). His mother, Mary, was born March 1827 in Bohemia, immigrated in 1881 and died 1 Jan 1911 in Chicago, IL.

Frank married Mary Dolezal (1865-1898; born in Wisconsin to Bohemian parents) in 1885. They lived in Chicago and had 3 children: Miroslav “Matthew” (b. 1887), Lidmila “Ethel” (b. 1888, d. 1944 in San Francisco), and Miloda (b. 1892, d. 1893). Following his wife Mary’s death, Frank remarried to Pauline Treiner in May 1899. Frank died in March 1902 of tuberculosis. Frank, his first wife Mary, and mother Mary are buried along with Miloda at the Bohemian National Cemetery. I cannot find any records for Miroslav after the 1900 Federal Census and he is not buried at the Bohemian National Cemetery. Frank was a coffee and tea dealer, possibly in business with his brother-in-law, Frank Dolezal.

In 1910, his mother Mary, was living with Pauline and that census indicates she had 8 children, only 1 of which was living at that time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
