Description

Need to know if the memorial at Lidice lists the names/surnames of those who died there or in camps.

Also are Lidice and Ledice same or different towns?

I am very interested in obtaining a list of the victims of Lidice. One of the children (Karel Vlcek) had my surname and would love to know if he was a survivor and if so what has become of him. The list, I’m hopeful would include his parents. My Grandfather and Grandmother were from Radnig, Bohemia and immigrated to the U.S in 1905. Grandfather’s name was Vaslav (William) Vlcek and Grandmother Agnes nee Kolda.

There are lists available of those who died at Lidice. I have a book which lists them and shows photographs of them also. It seems to me I remember seeing a list in the museum when I was there many years ago. Lidice and Ledice are not the same towns unless perhaps Ledice is a misspelling – or there may be a town by that name.
