Researching CHADIMA Franz ( 1825-1909)

Franz Chadima, my wife’s great grandfather, a musician who studied at the Prague Conservatory and emigrated from Bohemia to North America circa 1850. He first lived in Saginaw, Michigan and married in Chicago in 1857 to a Wilhamina Marie Batowetz, a lady born as Ms. Rackenstein and then adopted as Ms. Batowetz, both spellings unsure, who had also come from Bohemia to America about 1857 with her mother and stepfather. About 1890 the Chadima’s moved to, and later died in Kalama, State of Washington.
