Stepanek, Hertlic/Haitleck/Hertlick

My great grandfather was Joseph Stepanek and he married Josepha Haitleck (per marriage record) in Maquoketa, Iowa in January of 1855. I know that she (Hertlick on passenger list) arrived in October of 1854 and I know on what ship she sailed. I am having trouble finding “my” Joseph Stepanek and the date, port of arrival and ship at the time of his immigration. I know that there was a Joseph Stepanek from Bohemia who arrived in December of 1854; however, many others have stated that he is “their” Joseph. I do not know of any additional family members for either one, but I do know that Josepha (Hertlic per obit) came from Verbeck in Bohemia. Can anyone give me some help or make some suggestions on this problem? nrosburg@frontiernet.net
