Leopold Eidlitz (whose life and work will be discussed in the upcoming CGSI Quarterly webinar on 30 January 2021) was born in 1823 in Prague. He emigrated to New York and became a world renowned architect, helping to design the New York State Capitol, St. Peter's Church, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the home of P. T. Barnum in Connecticut, which was called Iranistan.
